Round 2 National series 2018 – Frankston

Excellent day of racing today by the kids for round 2 of the National series at Frankston and a bit of a pay day for them. Kids made the finals in all their race classes. Makenzie came 3rd in 9 Expert girls. Jai came 7th in 12 Expert Boys and came 3rd in 11-12 Boys Cruiser.
So proud of them.

Local Sporting Champions Award Night

         

Congratulations to Jai tonight for receiving, one of 36 Local Sporting Champions Awards, presented by Joanne Ryan MP. Was a fantastic night with a variety of different sports and a number of guest speakers.

2018 National BMX Championships WA

2018 National Championships are now done and dusted.

Jai and Makenzie did well for their first Nationals.

They started off racing the Oceania Championships earlier in the week and straight into the Aussie’s

Makenzie made it all the way to the semi final in the National Championships finishing 9th overall.

Jai once again rode both bikes in National Championships making the final on his Cruiser and taking home the bronze medal and a 3A plate. On his 20″ he made it to the 1/8 finals finishing 27th overall out of a field of 65 riders.

We are proud parents of the kids results and they are already looking forward to next years Nationals.

2018 Oceania Championships WA

The kids raced the 2018 Oceania Championships in WA

Makenzie made the final finishing 7th, bringing home a 7o plate. 

Jai rode both bikes finishing 3rd on his Cruiser bringing home a 3o plate, and made it to 1/4 finals on his 20″ finishing 19th overall

Was a great event and extremely happy with the results.

Jai ACT Titles 2018

Well, what a weekend. We travelled to Canberra for the the ACT titles. The event was held at Melba BMX club this year. The event was great and there were some great competition. Jai raced his 24″ Cruiser on the Saturday in 11-12 boys. He went really well, making it to the finals and finishing 4th, giving him the 4ACT plate. On the Sunday he raced his 20″ in 12 Expert boys. The goal was to make semi’s which he achieved, and also made it into the final. Finished 6th in the final giving him a 6ACT plate in 12 expert boys. This was an excellent result for him and he is looking forward to next year to defend his plate.

Round 1 Nationals (Penrith)

Wow what a weekend. Round 1 of the National series done and dusted. Kids rode well hitting all goals set for themselves. Jai made semi’s in 20” and finishing 11th overall, making cruiser final finishing 2nd. Makenzie impressed us all by going into the finals sitting 2nd. With not a great start to her final managed to come back in the last straight to finish 4th.
